The Last Words By Magic of Nah-Kolor

We don't accomplish anything in this world alone ... and whatever happens is the result of the whole tapestry of one's life and all the weavings of individual threads from one to another that create something.

Individual commitment to a group effort -- that is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work, a civilization work, a demoscene work.

Hi everybody, welcome to this last words article.. Looking back the last 8 months since we released Hugi#32 much has happened. But first my sincere respect to Adok who against all odds finished Hugi#33 in a time where his personal well being was of my concern aswell. Luckily he is out of the hospital again. Cheers mate!

The internet sometimes give Hugi quite a stir I have noticed. In my eyes the image of Hugi ejects agressive, bad or personal reactions with a certain small group of sceners out there. If you read this and you think you are one of them... then, well.. you are :) I have a message just for them, anybody can become angry, that is easy; but to be angry with the right person, and to the right degree, and at the right time, and for the right purpose, and in the right way, that is not within everybody's power, that is not easy. This issue was released with almost no ads being placed, most certainly not at pouet, so I hope you are happy now. This is how we gonna do it in the future as well. Sorry for the past, now let bygones be bygones and have a look at the future. Hugi is made by sceners for sceners. One or two inquiries for support can still be placed as every other mag does but this is it. Cheers to you all and this is the end of this subject!

In the last words in issue 32 we were looking forward the the fall and winter of 2006. Now we are in the spring of 2007. Assembly, Buenzli, Evoke, TUM, Breakpoint - all have been great parties with many great releases. Old groups have returned like Brainstorm, Alcatraz, Andromeda and even Polka Brothers could make a comeback. I think it's a good thing that an old member of an old group builds a new team around his old groupname like Axel of Brainstorm and Sting of Alcatraz did. Or even better the most important members revive the group without any new ones like in the case of Andromeda. Cheers to you all and I hope the demoscene can wittness many nice new releases from you.

At a certain stage of development Hugi#33 we decided we would try to release Hugi#33 at breakpoint 2007. But Adok was gone for about 2-3 months because he was in hospital. However, as written earlier he is getting better every day! Sorry to all people whose hopes were on a Breakpoint 2007 release. You know how it can go on the demoscene, planned goals are a lot of times disturbed by personal stuff. Also sorry to all people I might have pushed too much for some nice article or interview. Damn, anno domini 2007 it's just very hard to fill a diskmag than for example in the early 90's. There are not really many 'diskmag writers' left. This of course is also due to the many forums and websites. It's a whole other ball game.. Or maybe it's just me getting old! :)

My personal thank you's for this issue go to: Mice+Buzzer, Chromag and Siatek for the great MP3's! All in the Hugi Staff, Bridgeclaw, Curt Cool, Wie8, Axel, Gizmo, Melwyn, Darkus, Rumrunner, Browallia, Dr.Doom and all I probably forgot a whole lot! Sorry to you to. Yes, these last words are dedicated to the word 'sorry' :) By the way, FR, thank you for releasing Debris it gave the scene a moral injection of adrenaline to make their productions better than they originally planned. :)

Anyway I hope to see you all back in the next issue of Hugi!

Yours Sincerely,
Magic of Nah-Kolor
